Core functionality is 80% done. My current dev build supports all major mastodon endpoints, and consumes Text, Image, Video, etc. from Mastodon, lemmy, pleroma, threads and pixelfed. I also have a working prototype for a PeerTube-based reels view.
I‘ve looked at Blorp, but it seems to be highly focused on microblogging, and looks like a mix of Tw@tter and a CMS. I‘m trying to build a broader Fediverse-entryway, to make EMEA less dependent on superpowers for communication.

@ralfkraemer wow thats amazing to hear! Especially the peertube view your working on, I would love love love to see that integrated in a first class text posting app where you click a tab and can start watching videos right away

To be clear this is a security flaw that WinRAR patched in July last year.
Why is it a problem now? Because WinRAR, like 7-Zip does not provide autoupdate. 😢
I actually made a bot to start tracking these releases @archivetoolstracker at the start of the year (it has yet to post because neither have updated yet in 2026).

@Changaco @davidrevoy Most of the software-based means of detecting bad memory have the failure case of being unable to do much about faults that develop while the machine is already on & booted, with handling having to wait until next reboot.
Doing more without considerable drawbacks requires hardware support.
Presumably one could make a VM runtime that does all sorts of parity calculation shenanigans but the performance impact would be prohibitive.

@lispi314 I'm not sure what you mean. It seems to me that the kernel could regularly check memory pages in the background, stop using memory address ranges that return corrupted data, and of course emit a warning meant to be relayed to the user by its desktop environment. Personal devices rarely max out their hardware capabilities, so there are plenty of times when background checks like this can be run without significantly impacting performance.

@CartyBoston electric cars were around when cars were first invented but the batteries were sub-par and the petro-chemical crowd made their cars easier to refuel (more fuel station and it is an instant process, unlike recharging).
