If all you know of Cream are their two big singles (sunshine of your love, and white room, I guess?) just put on Disraeli Gears or Wheels of Fire and listen to the whole thing.
In spite of the inclusion of Eric Clapton in the band, those two albums are consistently among my favorites.
But, these days, I usually don't make it all the way through Wheels of Fire.
Wheels of Fire is a Phenomenal record, so please if you haven't heard it don't let what I'm going to say next dissuade you from listening to it.
But I mostly tap out these days before the end of the live section at the end of the record, not because it's bad, but because I've heard these tracks ten thousand times and listening to them just makes me want to hear *other live tracks from that era*.
If you use Pixelfed's "Sign in with Mastodon" feature, it does not actually sign you in with Mastodon.
What it does do is create a totally new Pixelfed account every time you use this feature, and copies over info from your Mastodon account. You end up with two separate unconnected accounts, your original one on Mastodon and a new one on Pixelfed.
It might be better to call this feature "Create a new Pixelfed account by copying your profile from Mastodon".
Does it really create a new account with every login, or just the first time?

So excited about #Auckland's new CRL.
The stations are outstanding, visited Te Waihorotiu today and it's stunning.
Tāmaki-makaurau is getting serious about transport!
@pezmico good public transport really makes a big city into a great city - Auckland's shitty traffic has always been a huge negative for me.
It's such a shame because it's a beautiful area and has many positives too

@simoncozens @pluto That's great if your target audience is Jews.
I don't even know if you're correct or not. This is silly. You're saying you're arguing with Christians and then you insist the conversation be about the Hebrew "Bible" (do you mean the Torah?). I guess if you want to feel smug that people don't buy your reasoning this is a good way to do it.
And fuck 'em. They deserve the frustration.
@crazyeddie @simoncozens @pluto If you look at the Biblical justifications for the things Christian Nationalists want, they skew pretty heavily toward the Old Testament (and, of course, even those are cherry-picked). You really don't hear right-wing Christians quoting Jesus very often.
We're approaching the final steps of the Wide Conferences (SFU) feature with the introduction of screen-sharing!
This already worked with the Muji system (P2P), but now you'll be able to stream your screen and webcam directly to the SFU service, which will take care of broadcasting it to everyone in the room... allowing things to scale to many more viewers ✨
There are still a few things to review and fix, but we're almost there 👀
Discord, brace yourself, we're coming! 😸

What is the earliest decade from which you still have electronic copies of some of your email? (Please share for coverage!)
True. The EU has long opposed E1: I was in Palestine in 2010 and EU diplomats were already calling it unacceptable.
But tell us Ms @vonderleyen: is killing children, raping their parents, destroying homes/schools, acceptable?
To stop sounding farcical the EU must use sanctions
Folks today talk about Cream like it was Eric Clapton's band, so before I get started let me say some stuff.
1) Clapton is a racist shithead with a history of severe substance abuse.
2) Cream would have probably been a different band without Eric on guitar, but Ginger and Jack (and Felix) are the reasons Cream is remembered the way they are remembered today.

Leslie, Corky, and Jack went on to form a band a few years later called West Bruce and Laing.
Their first album "why Dontcha" came out in 72, between two iterations of Mountain.
It sounds like the 70s. The *raw* edge that made the first Mountain record and their live performances such a force and a breath of fresh air is gone, replaced by much slicker studio work and very clean, almost restrained performances.
It's not a bad record, but it's a real shock to hear these three Titans release something so ... tame.
(But that's because the soul of mountain, as far as I'm concerned, was Felix Pappalardi. He produced "Mountain" and most of the bands material, and played bass on a lot of it. He also produced the two best Cream albums. He did not produce Why Dontcha.)
