La fondation Wikimedia (qui orchestre le travail sur l'hébergement et les logiciels qui font fonctionner Wikipedia et ses sites sœurs) est entrain de casser les efforts de syndicalisme en interne, notamment en remaniant une équipe qui traitait les demandes de la communauté des contributeurs Wikipedia et en licenciant les personnes dedans, qui étaient liées aux efforts syndicaux de la WWU (Wiki Workers United).

Pour l'instant, les contributeurs ont pris connaissance des évènements, voient ce qui se passe pour de vrai, et sont solidaires aux luttes.

Restons à l'écoute et restons solidaires pour les 6 licenciés et tous les autres travailleurs de la WMF - le patronat est prêt à tout, y compris la destruction des communs, par peur de l'organisation des travailleurs !

All companies automating people away destroys the demand as nobody has an income to buy anything anymore.

The only solution for this is a market that is driven and bound by social norms and contracts. Like taxing the rich, automation tax or basic income ...

Or only build things that actually have a demand not like "AI" where demand is artificially created after the fact.
