I finished the embroidery on another towel. I probably have dessert on my mind.
Tomorrow will be what I thought was my sixty seventh birthday until I was gently reminded that I will be sixty eight.
Family is coming together for a meal followed by my favorite lemon blueberry scones. I will wake up early tomorrow to bake them fresh.
I can't believe I have been a year off all year.
Oh well.
It's just a number.
@cheeaun Hey there - I have concluded I've bothered you unnecessarily- I apologize. This first manifested while using Phanpy but it's now happened on other non-social web sites in Safari and NOW I've seen it in my Apple Photos app. This is clearly a bug somewhere in MacOS, maybe with the magic trackpad innards.
Please consider it a vote of appreciation for Phanpy that I use it so much it's what brought the bug to my attention.
@johannab no worries. Maybe try restart the OS? I remember I had a similar issue some time ago, it somehow went away and I have now idea how it happened 🤷♂️
@peterhoneyman Whit Diffie's answer to that will always be my favorite, but I feel I lack the panache to pull it off myself: "I'm a gourmet".
@mattblaze is that "…, motherfucker" understood? i prefer to be explicit!
In honor of Uber shutting down in Nigeria this week, here’s my favorite story about Uber in Nigeria.

While I agree, care work is still unpaid. The biggest bamboozle of women's emancipation was the fact that now two parents need to work a full time job with one of them (usually the woman) needing to also do all the house work.
One parent working used to mean feeding a whole family. Notice how women's liberation didn't mean that now parents could decide who stays home when and who goes to do paid labor.
The capitalists managed to squeeze profit even off of women's liberation. I hate this system.

When I started at the British Medical Journal in 2009, they used Notes and Domino for the email. It inspired me to write this:
It's a shame that the interface Hall of Fame is gone.
I totally endorse using nato phonetics. Useful for radio, calls, & even things like being a LEGAL OBSERVER in high stress situations where comms matter. I make these wallet friendly plastic cards that I give away all the time to help learn! Made my kids learn by reading out license plates and signs.
