German author Marc-Uwe Kling described this perfectly in his The Kangaroo Revelation.
“Whether it's left-wing or right-wing terrorism – I don't see any difference.”
“Yes there is,” cries the kangaroo, “right wingers set fire to foreigners, the others set fire to cars. And cars are worse, because it could have been mine. I don't own any foreigners.”
Jackson residents could find out Thursday whether they’ll be paying more for water bills.
A federal judge is set to make a decision about whether to allow JXN Water to raise utility rates by 12% in Mississippi’s capital city.

I dumped Google for my email & calendar a few months ago, but forgot to write a post about it!
If you are still using Google, consider leaving them. If Fastmail doesn't work for you there are other good alternatives.

Hi #deaf and #HardOfHearing community and everybody else who speaks a #signLanguage, I have a #writing question for you:
For a character who uses both sign and verbal language how would you prefer to see conversation (partially) in sign being handled? Specifically for continued conversations with multiple exchanges where one can apply a general rule; for one-liners, exclamations and such it's of course a case-by-case decision. Thanks :blobcatheart:

Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.

The thing I miss most about early forums: people actually wrote paragraphs. Today, if you see actual paragraphs, you have to wonder if it's just AI. Attention spans have shrunk from long and complex discourse which could run into several thousand words, to posts short enough that punctuation is optional.
We really have lost something.
The media seems to agree, Epstein has loosed the winds of change. But while AG Sulzberger's New York Times whines about the lose of a "clubby world", The Philadelphia Inquirer's Will Bunch welcomes "the whole thing crashing down."

"The timing couldn’t be better, or worse, for this midnight of the elites... an electoral bloodbath in the 2026 midterms is the best outcome Trump can hope for, on a list of dire possibilities."

That is pure evil.
