I have intentionally avoided purchasing a (so called) smart TV since they became a thing.
Part of the reason is that — they are spyware.
Apparently, there is now a court case about it.

One of my most favorite holiday memories. I can still smell it today.

How are you even supposed to take care of real wood flooring? What about when it's painted? Do I have to do something special for it? Or is Pine Sol fine?
Surprised The New Yorker didn't post this one themselves today
Might start wearing Indiana Jones clothes
@TheBreadmonkey Attaboy.
Does anyone else get really judgmental whenever they see someone post a photo of themself dining out in late 2020?
@Alice I think I've exhausted my ability to be really judgmental - it's more of an exhausted irritation now ... for a lot of things.
@mike oh that doesn’t look too bad, but would be nice to see the bottom edge of it
@mrcippy Oh goodness. Be careful. Could be this barker
@paul lol. Instead, it was this dog. Hat is MIA.

@mdhughes I'm fairly new to GNU/Linux, just switched in February to Mint on two older computers. I think I may be missing your point. As a relatively new user to this os I just open the Software Manager, search by app name or keyword and install. If I decide I don't need an app I can uninstall from the same place. It feels about the same as my previous experience using Apple's App Store on a Mac.
I know it's an option to use the terminal to install software but I've not needed to do that.
I’m sorry. What?

TV Technica: Our favorite shows of 2025
Netflix and Apple TV dominate this year's list with thrillers, fantasy, sci-fi, and murder.

Daredevil: Born Again is great. This is one of my favorite shows this year. https://blockblast.org/
@GeePawHill I was dumbstruck by hearing Charlotte Mew’s “À Quoi Bon Dire” in the film The Penguin Letters a couple years ago. But Wallace McCrae’s “Reincarnation” is at least a runner-up.
@sakhavi I don't know either. I will look into them both.
