@zakatak I got my license in high school. Good for your kid! Fun times ahead. Essentially there are a few levels of license in the US. Have your kid take a look and see what each one’s lets you do so they know what they’ll be getting access to. The ARRL spiral bound study guides are very good and also explain each answer. Hope it helps.
Incredibly, amazingly, that went extremely smoothly! The goats went into the horse trailer with very little cajoling needed, and all exited the trailer back into the pen! The only part that didn't go well was that the leader livestock guardian dog was very worried when he got back to the barn and the goats weren't there, and kept whining until we let them out of the trailer. He's Such a Good Boy.
Ok...we'll try this again tomorrow. Wish me luck.

It was John Key speaking, he said this would replace experienced cabinet ministers with "people you've never heard of" from minor parties
I suspect National also doesn't want to see the power balance in the coalition shift to the smaller parties, something that could spook swing voters and see them voting Labour or TOP instead

Academia is so freaking weird. Part of my job as a professor is actually to occasionally cosplay as a medieval wizard while helping hand out scholarships.
I am not allowed to share photos of my partner in regalia. Our youngest, the first time we were subjected to the awe-uh, inspiring visage in purple and gold with a beret of the University of Washington Seattle, looking up from the gaming console, and sang "I love you, you love me…"
And it has been called the Barney suit since.

@octothorpe I like to use the opposite framing, and I’ve said this phrase so much to my family that they can now predict when I’m about to say it:
“IT CAN ALWAYS GET WORSE.”
The point of the phrase is to break yourself out of an all-or-nothing mindset. If you can imagine things getting worse, that means you’re actually somewhere on a CONTINUUM of bad-to-good. And if you’re on a continuum, that means things can get BETTER. You may not be able to fix everything, but you can usually make things better.
PS: The full phrase I use is: “It can always get worse; you could also be standing in shit.”
