Academia is so freaking weird. Part of my job as a professor is actually to occasionally cosplay as a medieval wizard while helping hand out scholarships.

I am not allowed to share photos of my partner in regalia. Our youngest, the first time we were subjected to the awe-uh, inspiring visage in purple and gold with a beret of the University of Washington Seattle, looking up from the gaming console, and sang "I love you, you love me…"
