I can't say i understand it, but LBCA is the Last Bacterial common Ancestor, LACA is Last Archean common ancestor, which have all the reactions and enzymes, inside and LUCA; Last Universal Common Ancestor does not have enzymes for all the reactions, i.e. the reactions are done by metals outside the cell.

Which is why they say LUCA was not alive yet.

@farah depends? How I do it: slice and/or cube. Press between dish towels or paper towels to take out water. Dredge in cornstarch seasoned with salt & white pepper, then fry until crispy. OR: freeze tofu, then defrost. Again press. The freezing creates bigger air pockets that will hold on to a marinade.

@evan to me having the content on both is no better to advance Fedi internet than having it only on x-Twitter. Making the content available on there just perpetuates inertia.

If one must post on x-Twitter at all it would be far better to occasionally post links/reminders to where the actual content is located rather than the content itself.

In any case the value of posting on x-Twitter is increasingly overrated. The Community Association I volunteer for had so few real humans interacting with it that we abandoned it a few years ago to redirect our very limited resources to more effective channels.

Seriously for so many people and orgs it is truly not worth the bother.

worse books have been published by real authors. it's better than atlas shrugged.

it won't really educate you as to yudkowsky's crazy though. it will allude to it, but it's not the secret.

if you go back and read ch 31-99, it will not really elucidate what is not present in the rest, it will just make you think "what a fucked up weirdo who did a fic with not one but *two* Mary Sues"
