@farah I wish I knew! And then Catherine Chidgey essentially writes the same story with The Book of Guilt, which I found very hard to finish, while fans of Never Let Me Go thought it was simply brilliant.

I also don't understand the hype of Leave The World Behind. It was not, in my opinion, well-written, just popular. I have friends who understand writing, who themselves write, and they love it. It's like we didn't read the same book.
