@anthracite After I'd ordered mine they released a version with a case that used the tooling for the original Commodore 128, i.e. a lot slimmer/sleeker. Dammit.
@cstross @anthracite Yeah, the C64c version has been announced but not available for a bit.
As for how to prevent wrist pain - a thick encyclopedia volume in front of the C64U to be used as a handrest works.

I'm reopening my fundraising campaign to continue my education before the new academic year begins.
Thanks to your incredible support, I was able to complete my first year at university. I will always be grateful for giving me that chance.
Now, I need your help once again so I can pay my tuition and continue studying English Translation. Education is my hope for a better future and the best way I can build a life for myself and support my family.

@arstechnica Gee, I wonder what will happen next? 🤔
Over 100 data centers have been proposed on or next to Tribal lands.
Data centers use up, evaporate, and poison hundreds of billions of gallons of drinking water -- and they’re often in drought-prone regions where Tribes already face water scarcity.
Big Tech companies are endangering native communities by targeting Tribal lands and building racist biases into AI programs. Zam DeShields (Chickasaw Nation), calls this “an extension of colonialism.”
If you have a cookie for forum.audiogames.net to be used in BlindRSS , I have made it so you can read forum threads in the full text field. I have tried to do the same with appleVis, but i have not checked that one yet. Only anoying part for ag.net because of cloudFlare is you have to use Firefox unless you manually export but it works pretty welll if you go through the trouble. I hope I didn't oversell it. IT's vibed hackery for sure, but it's damn affective.
@danlyke An unfortunate line-wrap combined with my dyslexia turned that into “diddlesome priest.”
@mkb alas, statistically tending towards a tautology...

You gotta hand it to OpenAI, billing this whole thing as a *partnership* between OpenAI and Hugging Face when what actually happened was that Hugging Face found someone using a bunch of bots to exploit security vulnerabilities and found out that that someone was OpenAI, lol.
Talk about good marketing or whatever you want to call it, by OpenAI.
