@EUCommission Make addictive algorithms illegal? Drug classify them? Regulate them? Have an approval board for algorithm driven big tech products?
Your notes are more than just text - they're your ideas, projects, and knowledge.

Is Germany going full MAGA?
A school woodworking teacher has received a formal reprimand for answering honestly when a student asked him, if he had voted for the far-right extremist party AfD.
The school board now claims that it was a breach of political neutrality rules when the teacher replied, he had not voted for AfD, because the national security service had classified it as extremist.
Reprimanded for NOT condoning the nazis… in Germany… in 2026. What the Fuchs?!

Yes and even if we expropriate the billionaires, we still have that economic system that made it possible to have billionaires (and millionaires - don't forget those).
We have a name for that system, shit what was it called? 🤔

ooooo aaaaah #Capitalism of course with a capital C.
Interrogating journalists at the border and seizing their electronic devices has no place in a county that claims to protect freedom of the press.
If this reporter was targeted because of his reporting or viewpoint, it’s an outrageous assault on the First Amendment.

I've always been mildly cautious about believing anything on the internet. But now, I look at every single picture that is pretty, cute, inspiring, etc and my first instinct is "I wonder if that is AI".
There was the sweetest little puppy video I saw today, and I was just thinking "awwwwwwww" when I saw the small print "This video was produced using AI for your pleasurable viewing". And my "awwwww" turned to "arrrrggggggghhh".
Now we cant even trust cute puppy videos. What a sorry state.
Nine European nations have requested the EU exclude sports organizations from funding if they allow Russia and Belarus to return to international competition. This follows the IOC lifting the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee.
Today will be less stressful than yesterday. Just throwing that out into the universe. Maybe it will be true, who knows.
I have to choose whether to go in to campus for lovely fast stable internet for a remote talk I'm giving, and risk possible construction noise... hope I made the right choice!

I can't believe I watched a video that showed a male-presenting person mopping the floor and thought "Oh cool, this mop must have been designed for people who are a little bit taller and tend to rely more on their upper body strength to accomplish everyday tasks, which means this mop will be longer than average and intended to be pushed hard into the floor!" instead of "This company wants to sell shitty short mops to blokes as well, I am a sucker, I am born every minute, there will be a thousand more like me today"
@ifixcoinops I smell business opportunity for a universal handle extender. I bet there would be a big market for such a thing among those with your unfortunate condition (speaking as someone who's mopped a lot of floors and never once thought "why is this handle so short?").
