Today will be less stressful than yesterday. Just throwing that out into the universe. Maybe it will be true, who knows.
I have to choose whether to go in to campus for lovely fast stable internet for a remote talk I'm giving, and risk possible construction noise... hope I made the right choice!
Noise canceling headphones have made my life perceptibly better.
@sundogplanets You could always put up a paper sign saying “please don’t disturb” or “please keep the noise down” so people passing by can try to be quieter 😹
Even at the college library I had kids who would be talking loudly while I was studying (and really, schools should have a place to make zoom calls where the noise is less yet people can still talk, quietly!)
