I think all the functionality is in nodebb-plugin-web-push. The notification is shown here https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-plugin-web-push/blob/main/static/web-push.js#L16. You can check there if every chat message push comes with a different body or if they are identical.

@שניאור-שמח my best guess is that the notification is received by web push and it does not correctly "rescind" the push notification when issuing a new one with an identical merge id
However if it works with Android then that suggests that it may be an apple specific issue with how they handle notification rescind. Maybe they require additional data the plugin doesn't send.
Hopefully they support notification rescind.
Naw, the bankers in the UK are insanely too powerful and they have more or less adopted the position that "if anyone left of Bismarck ever comes to power and tries to CHANGE anything, we are going to PURPOSELY tank the fucking economy overnight."
And somehow, the British have not strung these people, these bankers who are elected by nobody, up by their intestines, even though they make these threats in the open.

Ukrainian drone pilots dominate NATO's Aurora 26 exercise in Gotland.
Ukrainian soldiers not only took part as observers, but actively contributed their wartime experience. Ten Ukrainian drone experts even played the aggressor in parts of the exercise – and “destroyed” Swedish units so effectively on several occasions that the training had to be repeatedly interrupted.
A Ukrainian drone pilot told the news agency: “In a real mission, they would have been dead.”

My entire platform for president is to make it a felony to put a USB-C connector on a device that can only charge from a USB-A power supply.
@mattblaze oh heh I have a bike light with that confusing property, too. In fact I'd go as far as to ban USB-C power delivery entirely as the specification is so hideously overcomplicated that it's trivial for implementations to have even subtler/stupider interoperability issues 😡
