Say Hello To GoogleSQL - Slashdot

BrianFagioli writes: Google has quietly retired the ZetaSQL name and rebranded its open source SQL analysis and parsing project as GoogleSQL. This is not a technical change but a naming cleanup meant to align the open source code with the SQL dialect already used across Google products like BigQuery...

@CartyBoston If you think reply controls are a bad feature, I can only assume you don't know what they are. Feels like you are engaging in bad faith right now.

@annika I think product management is really difficult, when it starts to look simple one is failing.

@proprietedusage

sebsauvage

@martin1975
Pourquoi cloisonner ?

There's a new wellness trend, people! (I know you only follow me because I'm so plugged into the zeitgeist and know about all of the new trends like a motherflippin' influencer)

It is, of course, taking a shower in the dark. AKA 'dark shower'. Why? I don't fuckn know I couldn't be bothered to read it what a load of old nonsense who is reading this shit stop taking showers in the dark you utter lunatics.

How can a ‘dark shower’ be good for your mental health?

While there’s no strong scientific research on the health benefits of a dark shower

@TheBreadmonkey it’s all quite relaxing until you slip getting out of the shower and end up sprawled out on the floor in the dark

Another reason to not use #Google - they'll readily share your data with the government and give you minimal opportunities to respond. It's not worth it.

@SamiMaatta olkoonkin että osan mepeistä suhteen olen todella skeptinen, että ajavatko todella eurooppalaisten etuja vai ovatko vaan pääsemässä paikoille, joista edistää jatkotyöllistymistään, joko uusille tai entisille työnantajilleen

If you are #trans or/and #nonbinary and your #music is on #deezer, please drop your artist or band’s name!

It doesn’t matter how “big” you are or what genre. I’m collecting as many trans and nb artists in a Deezer playlist as possible so people can explore more trans/nb made music.

My wife who I love and admire as much as anyone would not touch #Mastodon with a 10 foot pole, she doesn't care what the feature set is.

Not everyone needed #twitter, most people actually, and they don't need Mastodon either.

Do not seize the day. That only
startles it, and nobody wants to deal
with an aggressive day before coffee.

Approach it slowly. Avoid eye contact.
Maybe offer a polite nod. Act casual.

If the day growls, starts making
demands, or mentions shenanigans
back away quietly and return to bed.
