@catalina my guess is that most do not consider LLMs particularly novel or interesting, considering the forces behind them are just the boring forces of globalist neoliberal capitalism and you can’t even psychoanalyse their output

@Alice You know for as much as people used to hate on the preppy look there was at least a point to this. Schools with uniforms that demanded a button-up shirt and tie, but in climates like New England where it can be bitter cold at the start of a school day and then pleasantly warm at noon.

This afternoon I was walking down the street when I heard a red-tailed hawk "Majestic Bald Eagle 🇺🇸" call, relatively close. Looked up, couldn't see anything, wondered if it was just screeching metal from nearby construction. Heard it again. Then a red-tailed hawk "Clinically Depressed Seagull" squawk. Still no hawk in sight. Then I heard a "rusty gate" call, looked up, and saw a blue jay on top of a phone pole. It got me!!!
