The patch antenna feed on the TRX_120_067 from Silicon Radar is pretty neat.

@silverspookgames there is always hope if the nation remains. I'm Catalan, we've been occupied by spain since 1714. They tried to destroy our nation, our language, our economy, our people, for 300+ years, and they failed. We will continue fighting. Do not dispair, the USA empire won't last forever, no empire does.

In de politiek hebben we een stelletje struisvogels die te bang zijn om deze met prinsenvlag zwaaiende, rechterarm uitgestrekte antisemitische racisten niet als extreemrechts te bestempelen en tegelijkertijd zijn er politici die helaas niet meer durven om de PVV, FvD en die andere extreemrechtsen aan te spreken over wat voor vernieling, intimidatie en geweld hun achterban aanricht.

Het erge is nog, het werkt. De liberale centristische politiek buigt voor het fascisme. Toen Trump het heel even voor elkaar kreeg om Jimmy Kimmel uit de lucht te krijgen, had hij gelijk plannen om andere talkshows te censureren openlijk bekendgemaakt. De reden dat er nog extreemrechtse demonstraties tegen asielzoekerscentra zijn is omdat sommige gemeentes ook daadwerkelijk de komst van asielzoekerscentra stoppen door die meutes extreemrechtsen. Het is zo belangrijk dat we fascisme geen ruimte geven, anders blijft het groeien.

Maar als ik eerlijk ben, is het ook oké om bang te zijn. Ik ben ook wel eens bang. Toen ik afgerost werd door twee skinheads was dat beangstigend. Maar ik sta er niet alleen voor. Ik heb vrienden, kameraden. Wij hebben elkaar, we steunen elkaar. Iedereen die anti-fascist is heeft de verbinding en solidariteit in zich. Dat is de reden dat ik kan staan bij manifestaties. Een gewelddadig haatmisdrijf houdt me niet tegen omdat er ondersteuning is.

Ik wil iedereen die bij Samen Tegen Fascisme is bedanken, en ook het hart onder de riem steken. We zijn met meer en we hebben elkaar. Ook de centristen waar ik zeer kritisch op ben wil ik ook graag motiveren om een geluid tegen fascisme uit te dragen. Ook voor hen: we moeten ons niet door angst laten leiden.

Samen zijn we tegen fascisme.

Most of us on the fediverse are here because we agree that the software industry is messed up.

What I'd like to see discussed more: What do we like in the software field? What keeps us here despite all the whinging?

Personally I like small-scale software, & understanding computing in depth. As well as the escapism in imagining something better in great detail!

You're allowed to have different interests, but please have something!
Beyond what we're supposed to be excited for (currently "AI").

Back in February in the first weeks of this admin I got the sense that people were panicking as we should have been. I wrote two posts intended for folks who were not activists, who had no experience... folks who were freaking out and had no clue where or how to get started. 9 months later, we're still doing too little. One protest a month will not cut it. But we're a passive non-activist culture. We look for heros to save us. We have to save us.
