@vantablack It's one of the banes of having long hair. You can kiiiiind of get away with having it braided for a few days, but it'll start looking pretty terrible by day two or three (within a day if it's fine hair), though it might be a bit easier to brush it out. (Adding styling products to keep it smoothed down always makes it look even worse too IMO, and always made my scalp super itchy even if they were supposed to be safe to leave in.)

btw it’s not just the lead hyprland dev who’s toxic, it’s the whole community. Go check out the official project discord and you’ll see it’s full of pepe frogs and the vibe of 4chan boys posting the most repugnant shit you’d expect them to, all the way back to the very beginning. That discord is functionally a radicalisation funnel. If you’ve been around the internet long enough you know exactly the vibe as soon as you see it.
Got mad at Amazon breaking the ability to decrypt my library books via Kindle for PC and resurrected an old technique:
- Screen recording of Kindle for PC
- hit the space bar as fast as humanly possible to page through the entire book in like a minute
- use ffmpeg to remove duplicate frames from the resultant video
- use ffmpeg to dump out each frame/page to a separate file named after the page number
- use tesseract to do OCR on each page and dump that output into a single text file
This works ridiculously well.
(Simply holding down the space bar slows down page rendering, resulting in captures of partially rendered pages, which thwarts the duplicate detection. I'll probably improve this by firing my own spacebar press event sequentially.)
I am pretty tired of jumping through flaming hoops to publish a small website and send some emails when I’m not even self-hosting (specifically to avoid the flaming hoops)
So are other people on hosted Ghost (Pro) installs also seeing links *to their own sites, in their own newsletters* marked by Gmail as “likely to be harmful” or is it just me?
