White Pyramid
Following a valley towards Flateyjardalur in north-eastern Iceland, we stopped at some shepherds' huts to admire the view.
With the sun at its low meridian due south, the dramatic peaks surrounding the valley were breathtaking. One stood out amongst its neighbours; mist-wrapped and ice-coated, this perfect point.
The peak is Kambsmýrarhnjúkur¹ at 1,041 metres (3,415 feet) high.
