Note it's a https://Dropserver.org app, not HA, so maybe DOA for you.
I use it all day every day for all my projects + anything else that comes up (peach harvest, car issues, etc..) I have several tens of thousands of notes in there.
Note that this is my personal thing so it has UX issues. It is what it is.

@teleclimber that looks a bit like Zim Wiki which I've used for years and like very much, but what I need is something streamlined (open, write, save, done!) and works on mobile (eg web app saving to my home server).
Does this fit that? If so I'll look into it.

@happyborg I vaguely remember Zim from long ago. I'd say this is quite different. I built Illuminoted to be quite minimal. The idea is that each thought is a note that you write once and save and don't change. So there is low friction for writing notes. The only thing you have to decide is which thread to put it in.
It's probably too minimal in some ways for many people (no markdown 😱). It does work on mobile. It's a web-app. I serve mine from a Proxmox VM at home that runs Dropserver. I access it from the outside via tailscale (which is integrated into Dropserver making each app a tailscale node). Dropserver is my own project, I think you knew about it at some point but probably forgot (no worries.)
@teleclimber can you share a mobile screenshot or two?
I can try dropserver in a VM and access it remotely. Is there an easy setup eg using Docker Compose or?
I don't have a much time for this so the easier the better for a trial.
