About time! Best of all you can read my 'toast' blog on the web *or* on the #AutonomiDweb because this project is all about creating a secure, decentralised web on the Autonomi peer-to-peer network.

Way too many bytes in one basket makes for one very big single point of failure. This is the cost of an absurdly hyper-centralised fast-food-like data center culture.
Signal++ down, sucks, but it's seeing fundamentals like banks & public sector services break that stings most.
But hey, maybe this is what it tales to push more govs to actual #datasovereignty, investing in locally owned data centers or building out their team & hosting on-prem

If you want to get a sense of what the Matrix network will be like once Matrix 2.0 is fully rolled out, get yourself ElementX, and try it with an account on the matrix.org homeserver. I haven't had a chance to really stress test it yet. But from what I've experienced so far, it's a *huge* improvement on Matrix 1.0.
EDIT 2: ElementX is the Matrix 2.0 version of Element. Despite the fact that it remains significantly incomplete, and may not meet all your needs 🤦♂️

Had my talk on Small Web accepted at #why2025 but I hadn’t realised (my bad) that not only do you have to cover your own travel and accommodation but you also have to buy a ticket to speak. I’m sorry, as part of a tiny two-person not-for-profit working for the common good, I can’t afford to pay to speak at events. I’m not Deloitte. So I sadly had to withdraw my talk.
