Accessibility is important, which is why we already support a setting that requires you to add Alt Text to posts before they are shared!
You can also set the default post visibility across web and mobile currently, but this will be more prominent in our new mobile app ✨
@pixelfed is the mobile app already updated?
@pixelfed If accessibility is this important why does adding alt-text remain optional? You still leave it the choice of the user.
I understand the friction here and I am not saying there's an easy answer but at the same time we do make sure other communities have some protection/support - you can't go spew racist or homophobic bs for example.
