Is there anyone among us who uses the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses outside of the US?
If so, how did you manage to set them up so that the region-dependent features work properly? For example, even something as basic as voice-controlled functionality should respond with something useful instead of simply telling you that the feature isn’t available in your region.
I’ve seen several people demonstrate them, but by that point everything was already working.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Using a reliable US VPN and having a brand new Meta account set to the US region
Skipping Wi-Fi pairing because of location detection
Denying location access
Setting my phone’s region to the US
Completely factory-resetting the glasses before doing all of the above
Completely clearing the Meta AI app’s cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and then doing all of the above again
And that’s pretty much where I ran out of ideas.
What’s strange is that I see everything in dollars in the Meta AI app, so I don’t understand what the problem could be.
Does anyone have any ideas?
