Actually it's even lesser sensical than NFTs or crypto currencies (or nonsesical on more levels)

With NFTs you just buy and sell stuff
With stocks the stock holders also try to control the business direction and the leadership of the company.
While the first is already pure gambling the second just blows my mind.
If stock buyers think they can run the company better they should create their own company. They should only buy stock of companies which they think a run will and sell when they think it's managed badly.
Influencing business direction is a bit like fiddling with the roulette wheel while playing
