@gedankenstuecke @jaredwhite If you actually read the article you’ll find that he in fact disagrees completely with DHH’s politics (albeit way too politely, for my taste). Based on what I know of him, you have him pegged completely wrong. He has consistently espoused left-leaning views. Calling him fash-adjacent is knee-jerk and ill-informed.
@klmr @gedankenstuecke I read the article. He doesn't disagree completely with the DHH's politics, he's just criticizing tone. In many ways, he sounds like a ra-ra pro-capitalist "moderate" saying many of the same things I hear people here in the US say who simply wish the Republican Party weren't quite so Trumpian.
@gedankenstuecke I have generally found in life that when you see someone exhibit faulty patterns of thinking in one or two areas of life, it's wise to assume they will likewise come up with bad takes in a variety of other areas.
Certainly not everyone will get everything right all the time, and it's fine to have legit disagreements with people even while respecting them in totality. But still, fool me once shame on me. Fool me twice…
