If you want ti change society, its not necessary to mobilise a majority, rather engaged but active minorities (around 10-15% of a society) have often driven profound national social change(s) for good & for bad.

So we can be optimistic that radical minorities can impact society positively (think Greens or those fighting discrimination), but sadly it is also clear the Right knows this & has taken advantage of it time & time again.
