Mainstream politicians have reduced their emphasis on green issue to focus on cost-of-living reflecting voters' concerns, but this is just one more case of short-termism.
We don't have the luxury to think the environmental crisis will be the next generation's problem, its here & is often a direct cause of the economic concerns being articulated by voters.
Only the Green parties seem to see this & as voters come to this conclusion so the mainstream parties will lose support.

And here's an overview of the Zac Polanski social media strategy that would seem to suggest Polanski has (at least partly) seen that a more positive message is requires in our political environment.

There's an old saying in Political Science that democracy is really mostly about voting against things, not for them.... and (sadly) while this may often be the case, pragmatically, it leads to a hollowing out of democracy:
We voted against Farage/ReformUK, we go the current unimpressive Labour Govt.;
We voted against the status-quo & we got the self-harming Brexit.. and so on.
What would be better would be if we could vote *for* a positive change in politics...

Zac Polanski (being interviewed on the BBC) said (among some other important stuff) that:
'I think it is legitimate to say paying tax is something that's actually patriotic, we should be proud of contributing to this country'!
This shift in political emphasis is vital: tax is not a 'necessary evil', its not something we should seek to avoid.. rather it is how we fund the society we want & value!
Its good to see a political leader make this vital point!
‘The #Greens in England and Wales have more than 100,000 members for the first time, the party has announced, a near-50% rise since Zack #Polanski took over as leader last month.
It puts them on a potential course to overtake the #Tories and comes little more than a week after the Greens announced they had moved past the #LibDems in membership number’
‘The #Greens’ surge has caused worries among some senior #Labour figures, who believe it could take votes and seats from the party in next May’s local elections in England, particularly in some London boroughs.’
Maybe if #Starmer actually implemented some of his manifesto promises, stood up to rightwing autocrats and tech bros rather than invite them into the heart of government and stopped creating the system architecture to enable fascism to thrive come 2029, then he’d have a claim to votes.

Today I believe the most important issue the #human species should be able to solve NOW, is stopping the #genocide in #Palestine.

The more I listen to Zack Polanski, the more I feel hopeful.
Initially I knew nothing about him, and was sceptical of the excitement.
Now I'm impressed, particularly given the really unfavourable context he's saying these things in - and still saying them.
@markhburton @urlyman See, that report is all simple common sense, and yet no political party -- not even the bloody #Greens -- are even trying to sell this vision. It's a good vision, it would work, and if we adopt it RIGHT NOW there is (just) still time.
Why isn't ANYONE pushing this?
"If there is a defining mark of Keir #Starmer’s administration, it is immediate capitulation to powerful lobby groups, especially corporations and billionaires. This is what explains the otherwise inexplicable: its planning policy, tax policy, competition policy, deregulation policy, AI policy, food policy, its plans to reboot private partnerships in the #NHS, its banning of #PalestineAction."
"Voters are ready to start building constituency movements that decide collectively which anti-establishment candidate to back. This opens vast territories for all those – whether they be the #Greens, #YourParty, the more radical #LibDems, or dissident #Labour candidates – who are prepared to pull the strings the Labour leadership will not and cannot pull: the heartstrings of a country that retains a sense of justice, of dignity and of fury towards the predations of an economic elite."
