Good question. Anything written by someone who knows things I don't.
I spent ages drinking myself into a stupor and wrecking right-wingers and christofascists on the old y! answers. My takeaway from that, besides being able to get a lot of digs in, is that the old rule about multiplying by zero also applies to stone ignorant internet idiots. It doesn't matter how many zeroes answer your question, you still learn zero.
@Em0nM4stodon Like anyone, I'll check their profile. Keep it neat and orderly with helpful links. Extra points of course if they have a stance on privacy. Be up front if there are costs (subscriptions) involved for their services.
And like others have responded - good and real-time public relations via monitoring your Mastodon account is crucial. No Twitter/Bluesky cross posting for me.
@Em0nM4stodon Depends on the organization as to specific content. I like to learn things. Them willing to listen to feedback.
The one universal thing I want is for them to make their content more accessible with AltText, transcripts for videos/podcasts, ability to read the article without having to sign in or pay money (for such articles to have a recorded version too). I'd love for them to center accessibility because when their content is accessible, then everyone can interact with it.
