Many of the partners we're working with self-host so that the data is completely on their servers, owned and maintained by them. They even publish on their own app store accounts, so that they are completely in control of the application and its data.

Many of these partners often have existing in person communities before we begin working with them.

Surveillance is harder to monitor. Some partners we work with are careful about signups, only allowing accounts they approve on the server. Others are more open and therefore may be facing higher risk of infiltration.
