Today in Labor History February 25, 1908: The Washington Post proposed that all anarchists should be executed (whether or not they had been convicted of any crime). This came two days after anarchist Giuseppe Alia shot a Catholic priest, Father Heinrichs, in Denver.

The murder of Fr. Heinrichs, contemporary Illustration, depicting Alia shooting the priest pointblank. The priest’s head is flailing back as communion wafers fly out of a silver chalice that he is holding. Alia has a mustache and is wearing a striped shirt, with a determined expression. yesterday was day one of the Prairieland trial, where one charge against the defendants is possessing zines

the prosecutors claimed that possessing a printing press indicated guilt

it's always been about thought crime
