If we can build parking buildings and hotels, we can build affordable apartments. Homelessness is not a lack of resources, it's a political choice.

Nailed it. Choosing profit-making over housing people who'd otherwise be left homeless is a political choice.

That's one option that remains after the political choice above has been made. Another is to let people continue to be homeless. Again, these are all political choices, not necessities because of a lack of resources.
