With all this Google malarkey where they are trying to lockdown their ecosystem, It's making really want to purchase a Fairphone 5 and install @postmarketOS@treehouse.systems . I know it's not fully functional but it's so so close. Has anyone else tried daily driving a #Fairphone 5 with #PostmarketOS recently ?? #MobileLinux

@justine I'm daily driving Fairphone 5 for a few months now. Its speaker and mic started working in the edge (development) release channel last week. The support for audio routing for cellular calls is still WIP.
I can live without calls and have always avoided services which depend on the mobile OS duopoly (including banks, government IDs, Signal etc.).
I'm sponsoring @postmarketOS, trying to help with testing etc. Wouldn't call it ready for anyone unwilling to make major sacrifices, for now.

@davidoclubb It didn't work for me initially either (I was already on pulseAudio). Bhushan tried to help me in the pmOS audio Matrix chat* but we've bumped into some update conflicts and I've then decided to reflash the latest edge OS image.
