red-breasted mergansers. doncha just love their lil punk hairdos

4 red-breasted mergansers lined up in a neat lil row, swimming to the right. they've got spiky heads.

now they're in a looser cluster. one merganser ruffles eir wings, and we see lots of spread feathers

the kingfisher - a bird with beautiful blue grey plumage on top, a white breast with reddish brown detailing and a grey-blue "necklace", and a spiky hairdo - looks directly at the camera like its on the office
