Colour photo in bright bleak wintry sunlight, of a concrete train station platform. In the background is the gap for the tracks, and on a second platform beyond there is a dingy and depressing-looking waiting shelter with filthy plastic sides and roof, brightened a bit by a decorative panel of strong cobalt blue running along the bottom of it. Behind that, a white fence and overhanging trees and ivy. In the foreground is a black wrought iron bench with two figures seated on it: on the left, a realistic bronze sculpture of a man in a suit reading a newspaper, and on the right, a real human man reading on his phone. He is wearing blue jeans and a vivid red jumper, which really stands out amongst the otherwise muted colours in the image. The contrast between the old-looking statue and the modern-looking man is very striking, and no doubt the aim of the artwork. Well done to the artist.
