I would be nice if there was a #forum component to newer chat room (e.g. #Discord or #Matrix). That way, conversations could be moved over to the forum, and slow, thoughtful conversations could be had there. Also great for parking stuff like memes, yet at the same time, referencing them in the chat room. Maybe the conversations and posts could easily be searched, too.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a platform that already has this.
