"I’ve been pepper sprayed and tear-gassed three times now. I carry a gas mask around with me. I’ve been shoved, threatened, insulted by ICE while wearing my clergy collar, as a white woman. Our neighbors are in hiding -- plenty of whom have a legal right to be in the country, but that doesn’t matter to ICE. They are detaining those with legal status, even Native Americans."

"Home to a reckoning on racial justice in 2020, following the murder of George Floyd, that rocked the country & world and actually succeeded in achieving accountability. I don’t think the assault on us is just about vengeance for the Floyd uprising or Tim Walz, nor about hate of our progressive policies. I think there was a power calculation: if you can subjugate Minnesota with all of its organizing power, you can subjugate anywhere.

But they haven’t."
