One of the world’s most effective zero-deforestation policies is hanging by a thread.

Big Ag lobbyists and soy giants are walking away from the Amazon Soy Moratorium to protect profits.

Without it, deforestation-linked soy risks ending up on plates worldwide.

@greenpeace 'deforestation-linked soy risks ending up on plates worldwide'

Risks? Really?

It already ends up on plates worldwide. In your cheese, your steak, your milk etc

Rainforestsoy is the main feed in factory farming.

@greenpeace
Sorry, but you make this sound like the soya goes from the field to human consumption. But that’s not the case. Around 90% of soya goes to feed livestock. It is the animal ag business that’s driving this, not soya directly.

Greenpeace needs to get with the #vegan programme and make clear the link between eating animals - meat and dairy - and the production of soya.
