Dans ma bio j'ai mis ~vegan pour "presque vegan".
Même si je ne suis pas encore vegan, chez moi, j'ai arrêté le lait, le beurre et les yaourt, remplacé par du lait d'avoine Barista, de la margarine et des yaourt à base de lait de coco.
Mais dehors, manger vegan m'est impossible, et si c'est possible, ce n'est pas satisfaisant. Donc je m'adapte. Comme on dit on fait ce qu'on peut avec ce qu'on a.

In China, especially on trains between Shanghai and Hong Kong, I saw solar panels installed above ponds. I never managed to find out for sure what I was seeing, but I suspect I was looking at fish farms.
In which case, the solar panels would have been reducing the amount of sun hitting the water. Keeping them cooler, and reducing the energy for algal growth, which can feed on poo from the fish and make them sick.

Someone will inevitably point to protein or iron as a reason to eat animals. Ignoring the fact that the animals eaten by humans get all their protein and iron from the plants they eat, and so can we.

@heiseonline Und wieder mal ist es überdeutlich. Würden Tiere wirklich artgerecht gehalten, dann werden die ein absolutes Luxusgut, das sich nur die wenigsten noch leisten können.
Um die Versorgung mit Proteinen sicherzustellen braucht es zum Glück kein tierisches Eiweiß, pflanzliche Quellen (Linsen, Bohnen, Soja...) bekommt das prima hin.

@compassionatederby was good today.
We had a nice lunch upstairs, including a Samosa Chaat, and bought some rabbit-themed gifts.
We also listened to a talk given by the founders of the Brinsley Animal Rescue (https://brinsleyanimalrescue.org/) about the great work they do, and some examples of wildlife they have been able to nurse back to good health and release back into the wild.

I rarely am looking for a vegan restaurant. I am looking to evaluate plant-based options at the restaurants my carnivore husband and friends want me to join them at.
Unfortunately, Happy Cow—the leading vegan/vegetarian restaurant review app—maintains an extremist requirement that restaurants have at least 1 vegan option, regardless if it has many tasty vegetarian options. 🙄
To be honest, I don't want to see any restaurants there that don't offer at least one vegan option. That's what this platform was created for: animal cruelty-free food. I've already reported restaurants that even use shared grills/BBQs for their food. I always try to avoid restaurants that offer only a few vegan options, as the food there is likely to be contaminated with animal cruelty because the kitchens aren't careful. #goVegan
