It's January, and planting some lima beans, a summer crop, on a gambit the weather this year will continue to be off kilter. These are Pima limas from Native Seed Search in Arizona, I have been attempting desert adapted varieties on the theory they might be more drought and heat tolerant. #gardening

Normal planting time for these is April through September. (per this handout from Santa Monica College)

@ai6yr In my corner of L.A. currently 76F and 16% humidity. If we hadn't had that significant amount of rain (for L.A.) recently there would be probably be firestorms right now, especially with the Santa Ana wind factor.
