Santa Ana-ish winds over the next few days in Ventura County, LA County mountains, Orange County. Except it just rained (record rainfall), so low humidity is not a factor, so not likely to cause any wildfires. That said... watch out for trees. (wet ground + heavy limbs + high winds = killer trees). #CAwx #VenturaCounty #LosAngelesCounty #OrangeCounty #wind
A large blob of heavy rain is currently moving into NorCal, including in/near SF Bay Area. Given saturated soils, I would expect rapid rises on creeks & smaller rivers. Roadway flooding is also likely, esp. in low-lying coastal areas as tides remain higher than usual. #CAwx

Woke up from a nap about 20 minutes ago to the sound of this blob of heavy rain. No known problems around here, except for some nasty accidents on Highway 280, over the hill from my home.
My NOAA weather did come on with a potential tornado alert, but it sounded like that wasn't for my area (the alerts cover a fair amount of territory) and it's now expired, anyway.

Imagine, what are the chances of being stuck at Donner Pass in a winter storm? 🤪

Highest astronomical high tides of year (aka the "King Tides") will occur this weekend in NorCal. But this year, they will coincide w/additional storm surge from nearby low pressure--causing potential for SF Bay Area coastal flooding beyond what we've seen in recent years. #CAwx

Weather right now can best be described as "Santa Ana winds combined with incoming rain and sprinkling" 😬 (ie really strange)
64F, 24% humidity, 4mph winds

There will be a high risk for downed trees due to the very wet soils, as well as dangerous boating conditions for the nearshore inner waters from Ventura to Santa Monica.
