Great photographs and text as usual. One question about Scottish winters in general re “places that have fairly easy access, places that don’t require a five mile walk in. “ When there is some snow or ice do people generally hunker down for a few hours/days and stay close to home until it warms up? Or are AWD or 4WD vehicles common and in use by many? Or something else perhaps?
@mark_ohe I think it depends where you are and how close facilities etc are. The more away from hubs your go, the more people havr to anticipate this stuff. Where I am, an hour ish from Edinburgh, near another town, definitely a bit of both, but mostly hunker down, stay local I think.
Thanks for enlightening me on this. Having visited Scotland twice, but not in the winter, I had often wondered.
