For days I've been trying to figure out what concrete steps I could take to help the protestors and observers in Minneapolis from afar.
Yesterday, I finally got an answer: there's a group buying and installing car dashcams for observers, and they have an Amazon wishlist. I don't like to do business with Amazon, but this is a good thing to make an exception for. (1/8)

The wishlist said in addition to cameras and SD cards, they were asking for $50 Amazon gift cards. I know that having the flexibility to spend money on what's needed is important to these groups, so I decided I would send them 10 gift cards, i.e., $500.
I placed the order. Amazon decided it looked like fraud and canceled it.
Their email said I should try placing the order again using a "familiar device," so I tried from my old (pre-Vivaldi) browser, which was still logged into Amazon. (2/8)
