@arstechnica Please if you are not european who as children are taught which mushrooms to pick refrain from picking wild mushrooms. Stay to the grocery kind.

@arstechnica The people keep eating deadly mushrooms. The mushroom is completely passive in its role as killer. They don't force anyone to eat them.

@arstechnica not to point fingers but to point a finger - PSA - don’t eat questionable edibles from the forest floor unless you are an expert.

Honestly - I have the same conversations with my dog. 🐕

@arstechnica After reading this article I wonder why it is increasing? Is it possible the bad economy and high inflation in last years are forcing people to find additional sources for food? Or is it the reduction in food stamps?

I cannot imagine people just discovered to pick up mushrooms in the forest and eat it. Usually such people are very "outdoory" and learn about the dangers and what is safe to eat. Not so much valid for hungry people without experience....
