@heidilifeldman It’s hard to watch, but ultimately amazing to see things turn around as neighbors show up and the feds back off.
I hope at this point most people know that ICE can’t enter your home without a warrant. This woman clearly knew that, but was reasonably afraid they would force their way in anyway. But people also need to know that without a warrant, they can’t make you or anyone else leave your house.
Also don’t take advice from cops. Unfortunately that includes 911 operators.

@heidilifeldman So important to watch until the end. ICE leaves when the neighbors emerge and bear witness to what is happening. The police were unhelpful, but the community response and this woman’s determination made all the difference.
@heidilifeldman I grateful that it shows the whole arc because I think it’s hard to imagine how to respond to this situation. It makes sense that people start scared and bargaining. The community support makes a huge difference.
