Amazing statement calling for RFK Jr’s resignation, from a group of U.S. medical associations. “We are gravely concerned that American people will needlessly suffer and die as a result of policies that turn away from sound interventions. Don’t @ me. I know this is precisely Kennedy’s and the rest of the Republican Fascist Party’s program. They think a sick, dying population will be easier to dominate. It is great to see them being called out for who they really are.

💬 The entire profession of judges in the USA need to sign an open letter demanding that the six insurrectionary MAGA SCOTUS appointees start obeying the constitution or, if they are for some unfathomable reason unable to follow the law, that they step aside and *abstain* from ruling until such day that the SCOTUS can be reconstituted to follow the constitution.

Any MAGA judges unwilling to sign such a letter may get their quick fix rewards from trump, but will face justice in one form or another eventually.

Today Trump signed an Executive Order that directs a barrage of federal agency action to escalate his dictatorial takeover of the District of Columbia. But embedded in the EO is a deeply chilling provision that orders Hegseth and the DOD to create specialized military units for rapid deployment across the nation for "quelling civil disturbances and ensuring the public safety and order whenever the circumstances necessitate." 1/ whitehouse.gov/presidential-ac

Very good explainer about the Trump regime’s use of emergency appeals and the Supreme Court’s use of the shadow docket to side with the regime. Also, why Kavanaugh is wrong about judicial orders without public reasons attached. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/supreme-court-must-explain-why-it-keeps-ruling-trumps-favor#LawFedi

In a new triple whammy, Trump regime is unconstitutionally intruding on Congress’s power, unlawfully interfering with states’ rights, and actively harming crime victims. A coalition of Democratic state AGs filed suit today to prevent Trump from forcing states to either give up Congressionally appropriated funds for crime victim support or cooperate with Trump’s war on immigrants. #LawFedi 1/

Re: Legal Effect of U.S. Attorney General Order 6370-2025, "Restoring Safety and Security to the

Pamela A. Smith
…
Dear Chief Smith:
I have reviewed Order No. 6370-2025 (Bondi Order), "Restoring Safety and Security to the District of
Columbia," issued late this evening by United States Attorney General Pamela Bondi. The Bondi Order
purports to vest all powers and duties of the Chief of Police in Drug Enforcement Administrator Terrence
C. Cole as "Emergency Police Commissioner" …
It is my opinion that the Bondi Order is unlawful, and that you are not legally obligated to follow it. ….
Section 740 of the Home Rule Act … does not authorize the President, or his delegee, to remove
or replace the Chief of Police; to alter the chain of command within MPD; to demand services directly
from you, MPD, or anyone other than the Mayor …. The Bondi Order is, therefore, ultra vires.
In addition, the Home Rule Act vests the executive power of the District in the Mayor. …
Pursuant to this power, the Mayor appoints the heads of various District agencies, including
MPD. … Under District law, it is the "duty of the police force to

More of my thoughts about the 7/29/2025 Trump/Bondi DoJ memo instructing all federal agencies as to the policies recepients must follow, and the decision by Columbia, Brown, Paul Weiss, and others, to sign agreements precommitting themselves to the guidelines therein.
