I have (unfortunately) been present through a wide variety of online discourse and I can't remember a time when people were so skittish about naming the victims.
Everything from a New York Times expose to a lowly blog think piece, it's hard to recall reading "This is a targeted attack on *Latin Americans*. Full stop.
Illegal immigrant is not an identity, it's an indictment.
Immigration is not the driving force, it's the cover story.
