@Edent in the US, any Square merchant can enable Bitcoin payments. I often pay with Bitcoin at my local farmers markets. VPS and several other online things are paid via Bitcoin as well.
@cameron interesting. Does that mean the merchant *receives* crypto, or that you pay with it and they receive fiat?

@Edent £9 worth of BTC is nothing to sniff at, but whoever sent it only paid a 0.234 satoshi per vByte fee for the transaction. In other words, they weren't terribly fussed when or whether you'd receive it 😄
@Edent The heyday of Dogecoin felt like the closest we ever got. I do miss those days, was a fun community for a while. Can't believe even that is something Elan managed to ruin.

There's a restaurant in Amsterdam I know of that has a "we accept bitcoin" sticker in the window but it's been there for years and I suspect they wouldn't know how to handle it if someone asks. I'm slightly acquainted with the owner so I should ask him about it one day
