A northern flicker — pretty early this morning. Amazing how well they cling with those toes. Relatively common and my favorite woodpecker.

@stshank What focal length are you using, in full frame equivalent?
My bird photos are taken with an 18-300mm on APS-C, so it's 450mm equivalent. I often feel like I'm not getting enough reach. But I have GAS and keep trying to talk myself into buying the Sigma 300-600mm f/4 😵💫
