So in the past couple of months I have noticed a MASSIVE increase in the amount of AI slop deepfake videos of Rachel Maddow, @rbreich and George Conway among a few others being shoved into my #YouTube recommendations. Clearly the #GenAI #Slop contagion has spread far beyond the MAGAt movement and although not exactly extreme it is definitely tainted by #misinformation and is intended to reinforce one's viewpoint and steer viewers away from critical thinking.

Pretty much everything #Meta and #Google touches right now remind me of the not infested wasteland of Yahoo Chat about 20 years ago. These services have decayed to the point of almost marginal usefulness and their masters have completely given up even putting up the appearance of caring. They don't even over their insipid "sorry you are angry/disappointed/hurt, we will try not to do it again" apologies any more.

I'm starting to get concerned that the #AIBubble is more than just genAI. With this level of decay and open grift we're looking at Major Crash.
