@Em0nM4stodon Ill probably get a lot of push back for this but before people were against Elon and for him it was because he fought against the oil companies and motor pool to make electric vehicles accessible across the country. He also innovated reusable rockets with SpaceX.

@Em0nM4stodon If they put in a tenth of the effort they currently use to destroy everything for the sake of amassing 0.1% more riches for themselves, 99% of the world's problems would be solved by now.

@Em0nM4stodon I would accept if they were spending their money on slightly less disastrous selfish things, such as faster, more efficient manufacturing methods, reducing traffic (so they can travel faster), or hyper-efficient, recyclable luxuries required for living comfortably in space.
If the dozens, to hundreds, to thousands, to, for a few of the top billionaires, millions, of their own ghosts haven't come back to shake them straight, I don't know if they'd even recognize 3 new ones.

Ah, but they are. It's just that the the tech bros that are doing so are not rich, and the rich tech bros are powerful not because they are good with tech and are assholes but because of the other assholes with money who fund them, to make more money.
